VERY IMPORTANT NEWS FROM PARADOX

​After the press release from Canadian manufacturer Paradox, we inform all our clients of the following:

The previous Paradox SWAN server will be disconnected in January 2028l Antiguo Servidor SWAN de Paradox va a ser desconectado en Enero de 2028

• Until then, all systems in SWAN must migrate to the new MQTT server.

• Old communicators, such as IP150 V4.10 or previous, PCS250 and PCS265 v6.0 or previous, are not compatible with the new MQTT and must be replaced before January 2028, or they will no longer be operative.

• To ease the change of these modules IP150 (with V4.10 or previous versions), PCS-250 and PCS265 (with V6.0 or previous versions), SECURimport will credit €15 for each replaced module sent via RMA to our facilities, and that balance must be MANDATORILY spent on new Paradox material.

Once received, we will proceed to provide with the coupon adding up the value of all modules received within the month in place. We will only send 1 monthly coupon per client.

• From January 2025 all servers connected to the new Paradox SWAN server must be up to date with payment, or they will not be able to establish bidirectional connexions with systems.

These are the current tariffs from January 2025:

1 year: $18 ($1.5 per month)

3 years: $50 ($1.38 per month)

The service must be paid by:

• Final user through download and activation of the APP (80% of dashboard connected are currently updated with payment)

• Installer or monitoring station
  
  

Options for installer:​

1. Stay in SWAN until January 2028​

You can use the old communication modules you have already installed or put the new ones. The IP150+ MQTT can be download to be compatible with SWAN.

The new PCS265v7 and PCS265v8 are compatible with SWAN.

2. Change the site to the new MQTT server

You must have it installed in the following modules:

PCS265v7 (needing update v8 or superior)

PCS265v8

IP150+ MQTT

IP150 (v 4.10 or more recent ) (needed update to v6.50 or superior)

IP180

If they are not, they must be MANDATORILY changed.

On the other hand, if there is a DOUBLE communication path in the installation, a new “+” MODEL BOARD must be used (these have 2 serial ports).

Former boards are NOT allowed to COMBO (2 communication paths IP+4G over the same serial port).

The new “+” models already count with 2 serial ports and each communicator is connected separately.

Connexions to Monitoring Station:

• The new MQTT server only connects with the new IPC10 Monitoring Station hardware.

• We strongly recommend that our installer clients contact the Monitoring Station where their systems are connected and advise them to update to the new IPC10 hardware.

• You can reach out to our Paradox Specialist, José Costa, who has over 20 years of experience with the brand, for assistance in setting up the IPC10 Monitoring Station.

• EThe old IPR7 and IPR512 Monitoring Station hardware is no longer officially supported by Paradox.
